The Beyond The Natural Foundation (BTNF) is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt nonprofit organization that serves to empower the lives of at risk youth through music. Our mission is to serve at risk youth by engaging them in music education and performance to provide expressive therapy and inspiration for creating greater life opportunities. As an organization, our goal is to be at the forefront of providing musical arts enrichment and music therapy for the youth of our communities. Our programs swing on the hinges of using music "Education to Equip", using music "Art to Inspire", and providing "Resources for Growth".

EDUCATION: BTNF provides hands on education in the art of songwriting, producing, audio engineering, and musicianship while utilizing basic music curriculums and state-of-the-art equipment via our flagship onsite program Music for F.U.N. (Fundamental Understanding of Notes) and The E.A.R. Arts Institute (more details Coming Soon). All of this practical instruction is coupled with exposure to the creative minds of industry professionals in our Workshops and Clinics, which further inspires the expression of art in the lives of our youth.

ART: BTNF believes arts education is an essential part of achieving success in school, work and life. Arts engagement has a profound impact on unlocking the creativity that is needed for our future generations of innovators. BTNF uses musical art as a form of expressive therapy. Expressive art methods of simple skill and focused sensitivity enhance our capacity for sharing our thoughts, feelings and experience. In this way, youth come to know themselves on a deeper level, become aware of their impact on those around them and allow them to encounter their world with compassion and presence. Our goal is to use music therapy to

  • Promote Wellness

  • Manage Stress

  • Alleviate Pain

  • Express Feelings

  • Enhance Memory

  • Improve Communication

  • Promote Physical Rehabilitation

RESOURCES: BTNF believes in using a variety of resources to empower our youth along their journey. BTNF provides musical instruments for qualifying program participants, scholarships for program participants to take advantage of other programs and resources that support our mission and vision, and even Partial Scholarships to graduating high school students that meet certain criteria (more information coming soon).
