BTNF High School Takeover brought to you by

The Baltimore Children and Youth Fund was created specifically to aid Baltimore's youth by Strengthening The Village, Fostering Authentic Youth Leadership, Empowerment, and Self-Actualization, and Building Permanent Bridges to Educational and Economic Advancement Opportunities, and to Business Ownership. Beyond The Natural Foundation was funded to provide Youth Centered Arts Initiatives and the REST IS HISTORY.

The lead single from this year's project is a song written, recorded, and produced by our students called "Group Chat". In an age where technology is the foundation of our existence, our Baltimore City High Schoolers felt it was important for them to inspire their peers to use technology in a positive way by "Respecting The Group Chat". Please check out and share this amazing and creative work of our Baltimore youth and remember in all communication to "Spread Love and Not Hate, Because Love is ALL WE NEED".

BTNF has been providing music arts enrichment classes in an after-school setting at the following High Schools throughout Baltimore City for the 2019-2020 school year: Edmondson Westside High School, Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School, and Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. These amazingly talented students have been learning the art of songwriting, production, and audio engineering as they use music as a platform for positive self-expression as well as promoting campaigns like Anti-Bullying and Anti-violence. They have worked really hard to create their own original music as well as recording music videos.

Another great song from this year's project is a song written, recorded, and produced by our students called "Motivated By The Music" which features Yusha Assad, a phenomenal performing artist out of Washington, DC. Even though life may be tough for some of us, this song inspires us all to use music and find our motivation, strive for more, and chase after our dreams. Our Baltimore City High Schoolers are motivated by music each and every day and they wanted to share this motivation with their peers and THE WORLD. Please check out and share this amazing and creative work of our Baltimore youth and make sure you STAY MOTIVATED EACH and EVERY DAY.

Songwriting & Production

Songwriting is king in the music industry. Lyricists and composers have provided the world with art that has served as the soundtrack to human existence for centuries. Program participants had the opportunity to write and record their own music and develop their creative works on an entire music project called “B.M.O.R.E. – Being More Optimistic and Righteously Endowed” inspired by the founder of BMORE apparel, Mr. Ajtiim Lee. Feel free to click the SoundCloud link below to check out their music COMING SOON!
