He is also 1 of 20 students chosen for their pilot Armstrong Scholarships program! Andre was recently accepted into The Lyric Youth Theatre Ensemble at the Lyric Baltimore! They just wrapped up a show called "Behind The Mask" highlighting the impacts of mental, physical, and emotional challenges that come with growing up. Stay tuned for more great things to come from Andre. We are super excited for his success and the brightest of futures that lies ahead for him!

Michael Lewis

Michael first participated in BTNF’s Summer Camp in 2018 where he first began exploring a world of creative development exploring the wonderful world of music arts enrichment. Michael not only participated in summer camp, but also returned to work as a camp counselor to help lead younger campers in a fun and meaningful summer camp experience.

Michael always had a gift and talent for musical theatre evidenced by his desire to choreograph music performances during BTNF camp. To no surprise, Michael is now pursuing his musical theatre dream! He is now officially affiliated with Iron Crow Theatre as an Artistic Associate as a Performer and Social Media Content Creator. He is actively being mentored by Broadway actors that constantly stretch him with his craft in many ways so that, when the time is right, he’ll be booking full-time and making his way throughout the nation acting in theatre productions and on TV. We are confident that Michael is destined to do just that and we are super proud of him!

Our Mission

William Gaines

During the 2018/2019, we met William Gaines when he enrolled in our after-school music program at Mervo High School thanks to the generous support of Baltimore Children & Youth Fund. He was a faithful student who always showed up with a positive attitude ready to learn and grow. Will was already a talented musician when we met him but credits BTNF with “lighting a fire in him” for pursuing his music production dream. We were so excited to hear from Will when he contacted Executive Director, Rob Levine, to update us on the news of his song placement with “Sex So Good” by Chris Brown which he co-produced. We are proud to announce that Chris Brown won Best R&B Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards making William Gaines a Grammy Winning Producer! We are SUPER PROUD of Will’s success and the best is yet to come for him.

Amaya not only participated in summer camp, but also returned to work as a camp counselor for multiple summers thereafter. Amaya has emerged as a phenomenal visual artist evidenced by her scholarship to UMBC as a Linehan Artist Scholar. Amaya has not only added tremendous value to UMBC arts community, but the entire Catonsville Arts District where she had her artwork displayed along Frederick Road during the 2023 Holiday Season, and featured at multiple Baltimore County Arts Guild events.

Amaya's heart for service and giving back prompted her to raise $5,000 to support BTNF’s creative arts summer camp by creating Reusable Grocery Tote Bags that featured her art pieces. We are super proud of Amaya!
